My water adventures

For a person who loves the sun, the sand and the sea, I must admit, Krabi, Thailand is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The blue of the ocean and the green of the mountains just blend in together so perfectly. There are absolutely no words to describe it's beauty. Before I move on, where is Krabi? Well, it is located on the west coast of southern Thailand. See here for details.
Here is a glimpse of how Krabi looks like.

The mountains decided to morph itself into looking like a chicken head. No wonder it's called Chicken Island. Click here to view clearer  image.

This was taken on Ao Nang beach during sunset. Beautiful.
Besides the fantastic view, Krabi has got lots more to offer. From snorkeling and mountain climbing to the great food and friendly people. Something that really caught my interest was all the water sport activities. For someone who really enjoys outdoor activities, especially that including water, kayaking and snorkeling was the highlight of my trip. I have never snorkeled before, but the 1 hour experience was simply priceless. We chartered a personal long tail boat to the few famous snorkeling spots and got a chance to swim with the fishes. Thanks to the clear blue sea water, we not only could see fishes swimming around but could also see the bottom of the ocean (of course, we were at the shallower regions).

Although my experience was only for a short while, I had great fun. Now, I am just looking forward for another chance. Another fun water activity we did was kayaking. We initially had a though time controlling the kayak mainly because the current was pretty high. However, after a few tries, and not to mention, me almost falling into the water, we managed to get the hang of it.The next two hours was a cruise for us. We even saw a jelly fish! I must say, the chance to admire such scenic beauty so close by kayaking was truly a gift. Definitely worth it.

Us kayaking in the middle of the sea. a terrifying experience.

Our tired faces.

The spectacular view in the lagoon.
I will come back soon, Krabi.
